Cead Mile Failte - A hundred thousand welcomes - is the greeting of us two sisters: Chris and Ethna, to you, our patrons.

We were born and raised in County Cork, Ireland. We came to the United States in 1972. We moved to Hawaii in 1974. We have lived and worked on Longboat Key since 1982. We drove to Florida from Boston and stopped in Clearwater for breakfast. Someone suggested we come to Sarasota. As soon as we got here we knew this was the place for us.

Having worked in restaurants all of our adult lives, we felt the time was right for us to open a place of our own. We opened Lynches Landing on Longboat Key in December 1986 and closed it in May 2003 after 17 very successful years.

We decided to bring the real spirit of Ireland to St. Armands Circle by serving great food in a friendly neighbourhood pub atmosphere. We opened Lynches Pub & Grub in February 2003.
